Rules and Regulation of Admission


Educational Qualification:


  • The candidate should have passed the UG degree examination in the 10+2+3 stream
  • The candidates with the following marks in the Bachelor degree are eligible for admission the course.
    • OC - 50 %
    • BC - 45 %
    • MBC/DNC - 43%
    • ST - 40 %
    • Handicapped - a minimum pass

To arrive with the above % marks, the marks obtained by the candidates in major and allied subjects including practicals shall be taken into account.

Duration of the course:


The course of study shall be for a duration of one academic year consisting of 180 working days / curriculum transaction days or 1080 hours (6 days per week @ 6 hours per day) excluding admission and examination days. The 180 working days will include teaching practice, revision, examination and study holidays.

Admission Policy and Process


The transparent admission procedure given by the Tamilnadu Teachers Education University is followed. The college is being run by a Trust for the benefit of the Christian minority people in rural areas and priority is given to them.

Examination and assessment schedules


Evaluation methods : Class tests, Monthly Test, Terminal exam, Model exams are conducted

The assessment / evaluation outcomes are communicated to the students directly and the marks scored by them are sent to their parents. Proper counseling is given to the student teacher to improve their performance.

The PTA meet also helps to directly communicate to the parents regarding the performance of the students. On the basis of the performance of the students, remedial teaching and then remedial test is conducted. This helps the students to improve their performance in curriculum transaction.

ICT is used in the preparation of question papers for the terminal exams and model exams. The scores of the students are fed into the computer and it is processed to find the best performer of each optional course.

The record of each student is maintained in the computer regarding their performance in the test conducted by the institution.
